Doug Ragland
Doug Ragland got his start in radio in the 60s as a radio top-40 deejay for stations in Texas and Mississippi. After a 31 year career in the electric utility industry, he returned to broadcasting three years ago when he joined WBHM as a board operator for the Alabama Radio Reading Service. He currently fills in as substitute host of Morning Edition and All Things Considered, and has produced news features for WBHM. Doug and his wife, Jewell, have lived in Birmingham for ten years. They have three daughters, two sons-in-law, and three grandchildren. Admittedly a bit of a ham, Doug enjoys community theatre and has acted in television commercials and industrial videos. His favorite hobby, however, is spoiling the grandchildren. |
