Membership Challenge

Dear Listener,

Our Fall on-air membership campaign is scheduled for October 15th -- 24th. On-air campaigns are WBHM's most important tool for attracting new members. The majority of WBHM members renew their support from year to year, which is crucial to WBHM's continued success. However, a number of members aren't able to do so, for a variety of reasons. To simply maintain our strong membership base we need to recruit at least 1,200 new members each year, and to grow it we need to recruit even more.

WBHM needs more listeners like you to share the cost of providing the finest daily coverage of local and state news, and unparalleled NPR programs like Morning Edition, All Things Considered and Car Talk,as well as WBHM's signature arts and culture program, Tapestry.

Keeping WBHM's challenge in mind, I ask you to make a special, tax-deductible contribution to our Member Challenge Pool.

Your generous gift of $25, $40, $120 or the amount that's right for you will be combined with those of fellow members and used as leverage during the on-air membership campaign to challenge those who have never made a gift to WBHM to join.

Over the past months, you have done your part to ensure the continued, uninterrupted broadcast of the programs you've come to expect from WBHM. Thank you for that committed support. Now, I hope we can count on you to help us meet this membership goal in the days and weeks ahead. I ask that you be as generous as you can to help us grow our membership base to a level appropriate to the size of our listening audience.
