Individual membership support is WBHM's primary source of operating funds, making it possible for your public radio station to be “Your NPR News Station” -- North Central Alabama’s home to an award-winning regional news team and national programs such as Morning Edition, Car Talk, Fresh Air, All Things Considered and Marketplace, both on the air at 90.3 FM and online at www.wbhm.org.

Because WBHM is a listener-supported service of the University of Alabama at Birmingham, our primary source of operating funds is community support. Any contribution you make is invaluable. If you become a member of our Broadcasters Society by giving $1,000 or more a year, you gain access to membership benefits such as opportunities to purchase event and performance tickets early and invitations to WBHM receptions.

Broadcasters Society

The Broadcasters Society was established in 2002 to recognize WBHM's most generous supporters, those who donate $1,000 or more a year. That's just $83.34 per month.

Over 45 Broadcasters Society members play a vital role in keeping the vision of quality programming alive at WBHM. Broadcaster Society members enjoy some special membership benefits, including a quarterly station update letter from Interim General Manager Kristi Lamont Ellis the opportunity to purchase tickets in advance to special events and performances; invitation to WBHM receptions.

But the most important benefit is knowing that you are helping to ensure the future of public service radio for all of North Central Alabama.
