Michael Krall
Michael Krall is WBHM's Program Director ariving at WBHM in September of 1998 from WCBU in Peoria, Illinois. Originally from Chappaqua, New York, he misses the typical Yankee fare such as bagels, New England foliage and snow. He is (still!) slowly coming around to sweet tea, grits, and getting used to hearing people "fixin' to" do something. Michael oversees WBHM's on-air staff and the entire broadcast schedule. Additionally, you can hear him filling in from time to time on-air, as well as hear his interviews with classical artists and other musicians who make their way through Birmingham. Michael is one of the co-producers of Tapestry - WBHM's local arts and culture show. He also produces WBHM's series of award-winning listener testimonials. Michael has spent his entire career in public radio. He worked at WKNO in Memphis, and WSCL in Salisbury, Maryland. He is a University of Maine graduate and also worked at Maine Public Radio. Michael lives in Homewood and has a daughter Nora, and son, Landon. You can email Michael at michael@wbhm.org. |
